The present paper examines the Spanish public schools inside the liberal educative system doing a detailed analysis of the Real Colegio de San Pablo of Valencia. The article studies this Real Colegio in order to point out the conflict provoked by political corruption, since Juan Bravo Murillo, a Spanish minister, appointed relatives to direction posts against the desires of Antonio Gil de Zárate, the founder of the Spanish liberal educative system.
